Sun Requirements: Each plant you purchased has the sun requirement written on the tag that was placed in the container. In growing conifers for over 30 years we have come up with some situations you should be aware of. In early spring when Pines and Spruces flush new growth, if you get hot days like 85-95 degrees, you will end up with burnt new foliage. Just protect by covering in the heat of the day, or use a screen to block the sun from hitting the plant. Another situation is to much humidity for Abies (Fir) in some southern and northeast locations of the United States.
